Last Tuesday we were joined by Gareth from Coastal Schools. He shared with us about the effects of plastics across the globe. We then headed down to Castlerock Beach to carry out a Beach Audit. We were joined by a member of the local council who was impressed with our efforts to clean up the beach as they are aiming for Castlerock to be awarded the blue flag. We were taken by surprise by a random downpour of hail but it didn’t spoil our day. It’s good to see that we can make a positive impact on our local community.
